Sutton (Runcorn)

  • Sutton was a township in Runcorn Parish, Bucklow Hundred (SJ 5479), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1936 most of Clifton was added to Sutton, but this area was added to Runcorn in 1967.
  • Including the hamlet of Sutton Weaver.
  • The population was 223 in 1801, 362 in 1851, 405 in 1901, and 244 in 1951.
