Stapeley (Wybunbury)

  • Stapeley was a township in Wybunbury Parish, Nantwich Hundred (SJ 6750), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • Including the hamlets of Artle Brook (part), Broad Lane, Butt Green, Haymoor Green (part) and Howbeck Bank (part).
  • The population was 249 in 1801, 462 in 1851, 686 in 1901, and 513 in 1951.
