Manley (Frodsham)

  • Manley was a township in Frodsham Parish, Eddisbury Hundred (SJ 5172), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • Including the hamlets of Dunham Heath, The Moss, Ravelstone, Siddalls Hill and Simmonds Hill.
  • In 1936 part of Kingswood civil parish was added to Manley (including the hamlets of Birch Hill, Kingswood (part) and New Pale).
  • The population was 108 in 1801, 395 in 1851, 305 in 1901, and 793 in 1951.

  • Manley, Methodist Church (Primitive). Built in 1859, closed c.1970. Registers 1899–1965 are at the Cheshire Record Office.
