Little Budworth (Little Budworth)

  • Little Budworth was a township and parish in Eddisbury Hundred (SJ 5965), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1892 Little Budworth was extended to include the whole of Low Oulton
  • Including the hamlets of Commonside and Oulton Park.
  • The population was 434 in 1801, 578 in 1851, 600 in 1901, and 508 in 1951.

  • Little Budworth, St. Peter (C of E). An ancient parish, comprising Little Budworth township. Registers of Baptisms 1561–1921, Marriages 1561–1837 and Burials 1561–1878 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office.
  • Little Budworth, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1888.
