Guilden Sutton (Guilden Sutton)

  • Guilden Sutton was a township and parish in Broxton Hundred (SJ 4467), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1954 a large part of Hoole civil parish was added to Guilden Sutton.
  • Including the hamlet of Heath Bank and Piper's Ash (part).
  • The population was 158 in 1801, 221 in 1851, 347 in 1901, and 442 in 1951.
