Greasby (West Kirby and Thurstaston)

  • Greasby was a township in Wirral Hundred (SJ 2587), mainly in West Kirby Parish (except for a small part in Thurstaston Parish), , which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • Since 1974 Greasby has been part of the county of Merseyside.
  • The population was 123 in 1801, 177 in 1851, 290 in 1901, and 4367 in 1951.
