Elton (Warmingham)

  • Elton was a township in Warmingham Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7259), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1936 a large part of Elton was transferred to Sandbach.
  • In 1970 the remainder of Elton was added to Moston.
  • Including part of the hamlet of Clay Lanes.
  • The population was 331 in 1801, 444 in 1851, 393 in 1901, and 201 in 1951.
