- Dodleston was a township in Dodleston Parish, Broxton Hundred (SJ 3661), which became a civil parish in 1866.

Registers of Baptisms 1570–1903, Marriages 1570–1983 and Burials 1570–1880 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office (except registers for the period 1647–1724, which are missing).
