Church Shocklach (Shocklach)

  • Church Shocklach was a township in Shocklach Parish, Broxton Hundred (SJ 4349), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • Including the hamlets of Castletown (part), Green Croft, Lane End (part), Lordsfields, Port Green, The Saughans and Shocklach.
  • The population was 146 in 1801, 175 in 1851, 147 in 1901, and 127 in 1951.
