Byley Cum Yatehouse (Middlewich)

  • Byley (or Byley cum Yatehouse) was a township in Middlewich Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7068), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1892 Byley was extended in 1892 to include the whole of Croxton and Ravenscroft civil parishes.
  • In 1936 part of Leese was added to Byley.
  • Including the hamlets of Drakelow and Yatehouse Green.
  • The population was 130 in 1801, 110 in 1851, 199 in 1901, and 217 in 1951.
